The saxophone and clarinet studio is taught by Mr. Eddie Carrizales, native of Corpus Christi, Texas and graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He has taught at both the middle school and high school level and is currently an assistant band director at Carroll High School in Corpus Christi.

Eddie Carrizales has been playing woodwind instruments for over 15 years in the Coastal Bend and has built a strong reputation among the local music community as a strong, versatile, and reliable musician capable of performing in a variety of settings.

As a woodwind specialist, Mr. Carrizales has held an extensive performance schedule within the local music scene performing with various bands and music ensembles in a variety of styles.

Currently, Mr. Carrizales performs with his jazz quartet, The Third Coast Jazz Project. They perform a variety of music from jazz standards to pop favorites.

Students who study with Mr. Carrizales are taught a variety of skills that will allow them to become versatile musicians. Students who have studied with Mr. Carrizales have found success in the TMEA band and jazz auditions as well as UIL Solo/Ensemble comeptitions. In addition, students must complete a basic audition before studying with Mr. Carrizales.
